1976, année olympique à Montréal, mais aussi celle de Sad Wings of Destiny, deuxième galette de la formation Judas Priest. Un album incontournable pour tout amateur de rock lourd. La pièce phare de cette rondelle est en fait une combinaison de deux morceaux, Whiskey Woman (chantée à l’époque par Al Atkins) et Red Light Lady (écrite par Rob Halford). Le duo Tipton/Downing a bien sûr ficelé le tout et ce titre est désormais un des plus grands classiques du band. Si la dame au centre de l’histoire est une victime du temps, des abus et des changements, ce n’est pas le cas pour cette chanson qui a très, mais très bien vieilli. À peine une ride ou deux, ce qui est un exploit après plus de quarante ans…
